Some Adventist scholars studied the law of animals clean / unclean achieving interesting results. Along with them known, I would add my personal comments.
1. Íticos 11 is unique in the Bible
; In accordance with the ritual of Leviticus, the unclean has two basic characteristics. First , unclean status is acquired by direct or indirect contact with either blood, dead body or skeleton, etc. .. Segundo. This type of impurity could be eliminated using an appropriate ceremony this purpose, which is why it was called ritual impurity. Not related to the impurities of the unclean animals.
This type of impurities is essentially different, since it was acquired: I was in the nature of the animal, which means that they were permanently unclean. For this reason there was no ritual that could deliver of impurity which was itself, as it did not become unclean because of some contact with impure elements.
addition, the filth of these animals are not transferred to the touch. The Israelites could contact them, either directly or indirectly, without them having to be considered unclean. In fact, they raised unclean animals to be allocated to different jobs. For example, using donkeys, horses and camels to transport cargo and people. Their impurity did not affect in any way the Israelites. The person becomes unclean by eating only meat from animals that were not clean and, in this case, there was not a ritual to be followed in order to remove impurity for having eaten. Israelites were expected to simply obey the Lord. Should also add that after death an animal could become ritually impure, and impure to touch it could be eliminated. This clearly see that the natural condition of impurity of the animal was different from the ritual.
2. The law also recorded in Deuteronomy 14
3. The distinction animals clean / unclean predates Moses
Established law seeks to preserve the life of the people, why try to keep away from the sphere of death, that is, the scope of the disease and suffering.
5. It is a food law
There is no evidence in the New Testament to indicate that through Christ's sacrifice has removed the law of the animals clean / unclean.
